did plyometrics yesterday and shoulders & arms + abs today. Heck of a workout…but I wish I would have gotten it done earlier…bottom-line though Friday was the first day of spring and today I cut the grass for the first time in four years after my back surgery. ...guess that means P90X is working!
this is week 3..which means I’m excited for next week because everything changes!

felt good to slack off…but I’m paying for it….didn’t seem to have the energy to do the entire routine. Maybe it’s because I didn’t quite pace myself. Hate that feeling when my muscles just like there’s no juice left, can’t move it to finish up a movement.

I’m starting to notice while I know what to do, I simply don’t have the energy. It’s as though I’m moving through all the moves but don’t really have the drive to push it harder. It’s a little frustrating but then again, I think it’s suppose to be that way because this weekend I purposely double stacked everything in order to get back on track.
The next item up is Stretching or Resting…I choose rest. I think my muscles need it.

this is week two: round one, Day 14.
Legs & back went well, but I know why folks don’t do back to back abs…it just simply doesn’t go well.
I’m glad I’m done for the day!
Tomorrow…Kenpo!

not bad…I nearly made it through all. Not too good at Crain, Still doing the Bridge, not the Wheel. The part of Warrior Three to Standing Splits is really tough, followed by an equally tough Half Moon to Twisting half moon. (My quads were just burning, aching) Next up: Legs & Back!.

reving back in high gear baby!!! I plan on taking advantage of this weekend and do two per day to catch up a bit.
Tomorrow, Yoga X + Legs & Back
Sunday: Kenpo + Stretch
felt actually pretty good. Didn’t hear my heart monitor alarm go off but once, and it was only beating 163 so that didn’t even go that high.
My Abs on the other hand I think is still a bit weak. ...actually it’s more of my core starting from my inner pelvis towards mid quad that gets sore the quickest. Had trouble with V-up/Roll-up. & subsequent routines.
Tomorrow is my favorite! Yoga! (actually it’s probably the longest, most painful routines. I tend to sweat like a hog doing it.)

...time passed by so quick…I needed sleep & by golly I got some extra ZZZZ!!!! Felt good to take an unscheduled but much needed break. My sore muscles thanked me.

...didn’t start off right with the time change. I was 30 minutes late for work. Yesterday’s workout made me really sore & tired. Fortunately for me, my boss sympathizes since he’s trying to lose weight and be healthier too. Came home at 6pm…went to bed until 10:45pm. Woke up, and did the exercise with 5 minutes to spare before midnight. did pretty well. Highest heart beat rate was 173. about 160 is where I wanted my max to be… it’s funny how when I now have a heart monitor, I can just about tell at 160 I’m still comfortable. but right about 165 I start hearing my heart beat as I breath.
side note: I thought it was interesting with that 1 day’s rest, I managed to gain back about 3 pounds immediately and I didn’t eat too differently. I guess my body was just recovering the fluids.

feeling grreat…sore as heck though. the last set of downward pushups & diamond push-ups were killers. Managed to do about 4-5 clean pull ups! (not close to 20 like those guys on the DVD though) I straight ran out of energy to do the ab routine. did better on the crunchy frog, but Roll-Up/V-Up Combo or the Pulse-Up (Heels to Heaven) I didn’t very well.
Was a late workout today. Finished at 12:24am…grabbed a protein bar, hit the showers & off to bed.
