Join the Peace Corps

So I had my interview yesterday and I’ve been nominated to teach science somewhere in sub-saharan africa. Now time to convince my family its a good idea for me to go! :-)...Im siked!!!

I just sent my application off not even an hour ago. I was waiting over a month for someone to proofread my essays and then just decided they were takin too long and sent off the application. Im so happy I’ve finished the application. Now the waiting begins…

So I have the 3 individuals who have agreed to do the recommendations for me. So far 1 person has completed it and 1 more has started it. I have filled out the entire application and I sent off my essays to a friend to proofread prior to my final submission. I recently recieved the revisions back and the comments were not good and now Im frustrated and do not know what to write. Does anyone have any suggestions or writing tips? The writing of these essays it taking so much longer than expected, specifically the cross cultural experience. Im frustrated and paranoid if my essays aren’t good enough I won’t get selected.
