Make a Winning Quilt

I am almost finished with committments to school. The end is in sight. Now its time to quilt.

I have been sewing all my life but quilting just the last 7 years. It brings me joy to watch as a quilt comes together.

I will be using black sashing for the first time. My friend wanted a BRIGHT quilt and no other sashing piece looked good but once the black was beside the orange and electric blue. The colors began to pop like popcorn in a microwave. Now its time to put it together.

Yeah!

I donated 2 quilts to our local Relay for Life event and both were bought. I was very pleased. I get to make another one for a member of the Commitee. I was pleased oh no I’ve already said that. I feel good and the money went to fight Cancer.

With the money from the recent sale of a baby quilt. I will be able to buy material for the quilt I have in mind.

I want to replicate an “old” quilt pattern called well it has slipped my mind at the moment. I hope to enter the quilt in a contest that will be held this summer. I also want to display it at the county and state fair.
