I put on some wonderfully relaxing music and just asked myself what I love. My list doesn’t include people. I love everyone in my life. That goes without saying. But what “things” do I love, that make me feel wonderful. Well, here’s what I came up with:

Fresh flowers
Lush green plants
Delicate wind chimes
Melodious music boxes
A relaxing drive
Waterfalls
Water fountains
Vibrant colors
Beautiful interiors
Hardwood floors
Ceramic tiled bathrooms
Bubble baths
Star-filled night sky
Laughter
Fragrant candles
A beautiful smile
A loving hug
Spectacular views
Winning
Candlelight dinners
Soft, fluffy pillows
Thick, thirsty towels
Fresh, clean aromas
Rich fabrics (silk, satin, velvet)
A grand entry
A grand entrance
Champagne and strawberries
A warm oil massage
Walking barefoot along the beach
Dinner parties with friends
The smell of coffee

My purpose for making a bliss list is to purposely add these things into my life. If these things make me feel wonderful, more of them added should make my life feel as blessed as it is. It takes so little to feel so good.

I think I’ll add an extra 15 minutes to my meditation time to do this today.

I once made a list of things, big or small, that bring me joy or otherwise cause my heart to leap. I saved this list on my (Oprah) online journal. All online journals have since been deleted. Too bad.

Ah well, gonna start again. I make a list of these things and then try to add as many of them to my life as possible. It was amazing at how little it took to make me feel terrific.
