I keep trying to do this and giving up.. I’m trying again! haha I’ve decided to commit to my pimsleur audio lessons which I paid good money for and I’m going to force my husband to speak Turkish to me at least once a day.
Hi does anyone know the best Turkish Language schools in the following areas:
1. Istanbul – feneryolu near bagdat caddesi
2. Dalyan/Ortaca/Sarigerme
3. Bodrum
my main problem is talking.. by now i should be able to speak a bit but i just dont…....sometimes its because i’m too tired.. sometimes because it becomes too frustrating
I have finally afforded to buy the full comprehensive pimsleur package mind you it cost me $200!! But it is definitely worth it, everything I have learnt so far I can say fluently and quickly and I truly believe it’s better money spent than when I did Turkish lessons.. I am also forcing all my friends to write and talk to me in Turkish which is slowly starting to get me going. :)
Thought you would all like to know about this website, its a Turkish Distance education website which has really great lessons for beginners.. i havent got very far with my course yet but so far i like it.. it combines audio and visual.. the courses are very affordable which is what i like best

I’ve just read on Amazon that Pimsleur have released a Turkish lesson :) and the reviews for it are great.. they are quite expensive but on my next pay I’m going to get them
I have been learning Turkish very slowly for about a year now. I was in Turkey in 3 months and now I’m in Australia all our friends are Turkish. I’ve been taking some classes as well but I feel like my learning is really stalling.. Could someone give me some feedback on the Rosetta Stone courses???
