yesterday – Jude left early, just when I was itching to go get us a round so I couldn’t leave the shop.
This was a good thing. My stomach thanked me for it afterwards.

I was very good over the weekend – max 2 cups a day, but yesterday I couldn’t sleep so the first pot began brewing at 0330, and I had my last cup at 230 in the afternoon.
My body decided to rebel, because by noon I had wicked heartburn, which served me right!
Let’s try this again!...
4 yesterday – Jude talked me into this stupid latte; terrible, absolutely terrible. It merely served to remind me why I don’t drink these crap coffees from the likes of Starbucks etc. It was supposed to be pumpkin spice, but all I could taste was cardamom and milk – where the hell was the coffee and pumpkin?
I’m currently on my 2nd, or third this morning and I’ll try really hard to resist when Jude asks me at 11am or so…and then again at 2…
Oh dear God! I woke this morning (at my usual yawn 0500)to NO COFFEE in the house!! I can’t believe what an old grump I am without it – and I’m not trudging through freezing rain to the store with the little one to get it…I guess I’ll have to wait until I get to work at 1:00 this afternoon.
Wow, this is more difficult than I had anticipated.
Like the heartburn and the adverse side effects of too much caffeine. Then there are the not-so-obvious ones like the hole that is likely starting to burn through my delicate stomach lining…
I’ve tried to drink tea, I don’t much care for juice, and water just doesn’t help me wake up! There’s nothing like the alarm going off at 0500 and before it’s even begun to brew you can smell the inimitable aroma of a fresh pot of coffee… here’s a toughie!!!
