I have a “relationship journal” that I’ve been writing in for the past 5 years or so. I guess the nature of journal writing seems to dictate that you write in it when you have turmoil about something and feel the need to write it out, so this is usually used for fights, breakups etc…. What I find interesting about the whole process is that I do notice certain patterns that I exhibit and also, when I read the entry at a later time, I usually find that it’s worked itself out to some extent in my mind. It’s also good to see how far you’ve come from those mistakes that we all make :)
