Publish a poem

I got published in a this publication called Force Fed by Take it to the Streets Poetry. I also have been published on an internet blog infloressence.wordpress. Both take all submissions though so I have been reticent to mark this off. I just submitted five poems to an online library for a guy who is pretty well known (from what I understand) in Ohio. He doesn’t take everyone, based on what I’ve heard.. but I know he likes my pieces. So, I’m at least going to keep this open until I get accepted there. I also bought a couple Poet Market books so I can start sending. Might wait until I get published through something like that too—but probably not since once I get on the online library I can really say I got something published… next goal would be to get something in PRINT…

So, I got the guts up to ask one of the amazing poet friends I’ve been introduced to about publishing poems. He told me to buy this book called Poet’s Corner that it’s a resource guide to all sorts of publish-y journal-y goodness. Next pay check. He also said he’s interested in putting a sampling of my work in the web publication he does. Not saying any more though… I’ll link it in an entry if it happens. I don’t want to jinx it.
