Being on OB has forced me into a regular pattern despite my best intentions. I went to bed between 8 and 9 and got up at 5 for 2 months. At night I sometimes drank valerian tea and took a melatonin and in the morning I’d turn on my full spectrum “happy light.” I think it helped. If it works for me, it will probably work for anyone.
I am happiest going to bed at 3am and waking up at 1pm. I find it very hard to go to bed early and almost impossible to get up early. Even when I go to bed with the best intentions of waking up in the morning, when my alarm goes up, I laugh to myself that I even considered it. Does anyone know if this is the way some people are, or is it just a lack of discipline and a regular schedule?
