I’ve started to stretch while I read. Each leg for a page or two and then switch legs/positions. I’ve seen a few stretching routines online and will work my way up. There is one that says if you do it (about 30 minutes of stretching a day – no reading allowed) you can do the splits in 3 weeks. I am not there yet. I am also working on running during bad weather, so stretching for 30 minutes a day seems like it would get in the way. We’ll see.
