I am in a leadership program at work. This also totally counts as working on not worrying as much. As I build confidence in leading, I’ll have confidence in myself and not worry so much. See? Totally counts.

Reading a book on shyness – worrying about what others think. That totally counts.



Organization 11 months ago

I read a book about organization, “Getting Things Done”. I like this. I feel like I have more control over projects in my life. Even if everything isn’t done, I know where I am in the process and what comes next and what needs to get done now. That helps the worrying.
I think that in order to call this done, though, I will need to worry less about what others think…and that might take awhile.



Exercise 12 months ago

I’ve heard that exercising makes people worry a bit less – it is supposed to put you in a better frame of mind. It makes me tired and sweaty. Then I have to go grocery shopping (it’s on the way home) before I can shower. So, it makes me dirty and homely looking too.
But my heart and lungs are stronger!



progress 12 months ago

I’m journaling the bad, listing the good of the day, noting the good of me, talking to people when I worry, planning and organizing to get projects on the way to completion and off my mind. I’ve not stopped worrying, but I am worrying less. Not sure when to call this one done. I guess when I feel the worry is consistently at a reasonable level (ie worry when warranted, but not dwelling on it)?
