Read Something Rotten by Jasper Fforde and firmly believe he is the cleverest author alive. Hysterical book, but only recommend for fans of dry British humor and literary afficianados.

One more to go!!!

Read The Golem’s Eye by Jonathan Stroud. It’s book 2 of the Bartimaeous trilogy and I highly recommend the series to fans of children’s books or fantasy in general. Great read and will definitely finish the series.

Read The Wastelands by Stephen King. It’s the third book in the Gunslinger series. I enjoyed it and am really into the story, but I felt so frustrated by the cliffhanger ending I’m tempted to say I didn’t like it. Bottom line is that I’m hooked though and couldn’t stop reading them if I tried. I’ll likely take another break between books because of their length and frustration level, but if pushed to, I’d have to say I’d recommend this series to most anyone who likes sci-fi or Stephen King in general.

Read a book called How I Feel. It’s a children’s book designed to help kids talk about their feelings. The client I used it with seemed to react favorably (he opened up and started crying and began talking about some of his inadequacies and fears). I would recommend this book to parents of children with emotional problems or difficulties talking about their emotions. I almost feel bad listing this as a book due to its shortness, but I wanted to put the recommendation out there, and I think the fact that the book I’m currently reading (Stephen King’s The Wastelands is 600 pages).

Read Shadow of the Giant by Orson Scott Card. Yet another book in the Ender series. I’ve been reading them for years, and keep being thrilled to do so. Card is a great author who has such a sense of what history should be like, that it is absolutely fascinating to read his fake histories and alternate histories. Shadow of the Giant falls under the fake history category. It reads like history should, but the only problem is it never happened. With a story like this one, it’s a shame because the moral is how we should disband nations and unite as a global tribe, and that would be a heck of a story to live as well as read.

Just read Wasteland and Other poems by T.S. Eliot and feel like a complete moron. I haven’t the foggiest what I just read. The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock has long been one of my favorite poems, but the rest of the works in the book were confusing and only passably entertaining.

Finished The Unifying Force by James Luceno. It’s the 21st and final book in the New Jedi Order series. I’ve been reading this series for a few years now (at least 3), and it was so satisfying to see the story arc come to an end and get solid answers as to how things would be resolved.

Read 3 more graphic novels.

Read the first volume of Preacher, first volume of Transmetropolitan and Wonder Woman: Down to Earth.

I didn’t post a review of Wonder Woman, but the others are in the graphic novels goal.

Until yesterday, I had never read a Wonder Woman fan. No self-proclaimed comic nerd should have that be true abotu them, and so I remembered that I had access to a graphic novel a friend leant me and gave it a read. I really liked the artwork and the writing, but I just find the character to be outdated. i was into it, and would read more, but probably wouldn’t spend money to read more.

Read I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou. I had the privilege of seeing her speak last year and was impressed immensely by her and wanted to read some of her work. This book is about her childhood and battles against poverty, racism and sexual abuse. Well-written and moving book. Would recommend to most anyone.
