learn to play guitar

This would be completely out of the ordinary for me, but I’m going to attempt to get up early tomorrow morning, get ready like normal, and spend whatever extra time I have practicing. Like I said, it’s a bit out of the ordinary for me. Getting up even 5 minutes before I absolutely have to is usually unheard of. But I’ll try it and see how it goes. Truthfully, it’d be nice to get up earlier than necessary every morning and do some sort of something before I have to go to school or church or wherever. It wouldn’t have to be playing guitar. Just to get up early and do something would be amazing. But that’s a whole other goal. In fact, if this works out tomorrow morning, I think I’ll add that as a goal. That would be wonderful.

I picked up the guitar in the youth room and played around with it for a while. It felt really good, although I’m sure it probably didn’t sound too great. It got me to really want to practice at home more often. We’ll see how far that goes.

I feel almost like I’m letting somebody down. (Myself or someone else? I’m not sure.) But I’ve decided not to try and weasel my way into lessons this semester. Even if I heard that someone dropped and I had a chance, I think that it feels right to be taking vocal lessons. The more I think about it, the better it feels. So I won’t be learning guitar by taking lessons. At least not this semester. But my goal still stands to learn by the end of this year.

There was a mix-up. Long story short, my classes didn’t get paid for on time, they dropped me from all my classes, and when I went to sign up again the guitar class was filled. I’m taking vocal lessons instead, but that stinks more than a poopy diaper. It absolutely reeks. I’m gonna go talk to the guitar instructor soon in hopes that someone dropped and I can take their slot. That would be beautiful.

I signed up for guitar lessons yesterday.
I’ll be jamming in no time.

So Cassie and I can both play for worship on Thursdays.
