I would love to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune. I’m awesome at it when I watch at home. It feels like I solve the puzzle a million years before the contestants do. And I have to say, my strategy for choosing letters is fool-proof. Wanna know my secret? I play by instinct. An impeccable instinct that cannot be explained or duplicated. Just like the pinball wizard played by sense of smell. The only problem is that I don’t have any competition (or pressure) at home. I need to get a bit better at it before I actually go on the show. Can you imagine the kinds of stuff that money could go toward? God would use that money to do amazing things fo sho.

“How do you think he does it? I don’t know. What makes him so good? He ain’t got no distractions, can’t hear those buzzers and bells. Don’t see lights a flashing, plays by sense of smell.
Always gets a replay. Never tilts at all. That deaf, dumb, blind kid sure plays a mean pinball.”

One of my secret desires is to have a song written about me. There are a few people who sing certain songs to me with my name inserted into them, but that’s not exactly what I’m looking for here. For the longest time, I’ve wished that some beautiful musician would come along, be inspired by me, and write a song about me that I can sing and cherish forever. I know a few people who write songs, but to my knowledge they’re never about me. I have this secret hope that while my friend Aaron is away in California, he’ll write something about me. Even just a line in a song would satisfy. And don’t get me wrong here—I don’t necessarily want to have a romantic song written about me. Especially if it’s written by Aaron. haha. I love him, but definitely don’t want him to write romantic songs about me. I just hope that someday, someone will make me their muse. Even if it’s just long enough to write one simple little melody. Now that would be an amazing thing to be able to pass on to my kids and grandkids. And I’ll just have to sing it every day until then to keep it fresh in my memory.

I’m obsessed with Romeo and Juliet right now. Sounds cheesy and uber-girlish, but I love it with as big of a chunk of my heart as I can afford. I especially love the movie with Leo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. If you haven’t seen it (Cassie!), you definitely should. The cinematography is great and the whole feeling of the movie is… I can’t explain it except to say that everything is beautiful. They cut out big chunks of the dialogue, but I can’t blame them. I actually really like the choices they made in what to keep and what to pitch. And besides all that, I can’t help but love the language of it. I know that’s what a lot of people hate about it, but how can you hate this—

“Oh brawling love, oh loving hate, oh anything of nothing first create. Heavy lightness, serious vanity, misshapen chaos of well-seeming forms…”

That might have a few things wrong with it, but I’m pretty sure that’s how it goes. I think a lot of my love for the language is that I can quote it. You always love the things you’re familiar with. But anyways… I’ve gone on too long about this. My point is, I like Romeo and Juliet. The End.

I hate the color lavender. And most other pastels.
In fact, the picture above makes me want to spew.
