I feel so stupid about this. Last weekend I had ample opportunity to work on my WinForms skills, but I just forgot about it.

I’m making progress on this, but next week life starts again. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish the tutorial before Monday, and I don’t know when I’ll be able to touch this again.
I am forcing myself to re-type all the examples. It seems silly in the era of cut & paste, but it forces me to slow down so that my mind has time to absorb what it’s learning.

What I really mean by this is that I want to finish the tutorial in C# on Mono.
Although I’m a half-decent programmer, I’ve never learned to write applications in Windows, chiefly because I never could afford to buy a compiler, and for the free ones I couldn’t find good enough training. Now, with Mono and Winforms, and a simple tutorial that can take me from where I am, it seems that I have found a way to write Windows applications.
Actually, I’m learning C# too.
