The second new and fulfilling thing I’ve done this March was to get inoculated against the flu. It was quick and easy, and don’t have to dread feeling under the weather for weeks again.

I’ve made an early start on this, and already got my first new and fulfilling experience by participating in a 10k road race. It was new because I’ve never done this before, and it was fulfilling because I finished, and in a reasonable time.
With Februray done, I can report on what has been new and fulfilling.
I acted as Contest Chairman at a Toastmasters contest. It was a new experience, a little stressful at times, but entirely fulfilling.
I also gave a prepared speech, which I’m listing as a new experience, since it is almost a year since I last gave one. It was fulfilling, for I had to stretch myself a bit to
February is Valentine’s month, and I got a parcel from you-know-who ;-). This was very fulfilling, because it was filled with exotic American candy!
Eek! I’ve entered for a huge race. It will be held on the first of March, and it will be my first 10k ever. I am sure that finishing it will be fulfilling.
Thanks to Melanie for the reminder, I think I know what my new and fulfilling experience for March will be. I’ve decided to participate in the Deloitte Pretoria Marathon. I’m not nearly fit enough for the marathon, but there will be a 10k race as well, which sounds doable.
So my new and fulfilling thing for February was new and fulfilling. I acted a contest chairman for a Toastmasters Tall Tales Contest. It was hard work to organize, but fun to conduct. Everybody had a good time.
For the rest of the month I can think of a new and fulfilling experience for March.
My new and fulfilling experience for January was to travel to Cape Town by train and spend time with my brother and his family. I’ve done that, and it was all new and fulfilling.
I was wondering what my new and fulfilling experience will be for February, and then I realized that I’m already busy with it. I will be contest chairman for a Tall Tales Contest at our Toastmasters club on February 13. It is new, and it is scary. I believe it will be fulfilling.
Well, January’s new and fulfilling experience is taking shape.
My brother lives in Germany, and has not been back to South Africa since he left in 1996. He got married and had two children, whom my parents haven’t seen.
Opportunity has finally arisen, and the family will be visiting in January. Unfortunately circumstances prevent them from coming to us, but they will be going to Cape Town. My parents are going there to see them, and my plan is to join them for a week.
I am planning to travel by train, which is unusual, and perhaps not as easy as it sounds.
I’ve also had to make a choice between what I would usually consider my duty, and what would be good for me; I’m moving some responsibility for keeping the world together on to other people.
