Support myself with my small business

I’m an Arise Certified Professional now, which should allow me to generate more revenue from my small business and minimize the transportation costs that I now incur.

Very excited to see how this works out, and incredibly proud of my self for this accomplishment. I will reach my goal. I will support myself with my small business

Finally got an accountant so our taxes can get taken care of which is a big relief. I’m still learning Quickbooks and even with my limited knowledge, its been pretty simple. We’ve gotten lots of work this year and I even got a chance to take a business trip to Detroit for a shoot.

We’re working on setting up a file server, and a second for streaming video; purchased a laptop for mobile editing and also acquired a DVD replicator (drool) and possibly a new business partner.

So far so good, and getting better. I believe that by this fall I’ll be taking home a part-time salary every week.

My company has survived its first year and I’m now at year two quarter one. Last year was a trial by fire to find out what we could do, how well, and how long that would take. Now we know and its time to run with it.

In about another week or two I’ll be having flyers (which I designed myself) printed, a necessary step in promoting our services beyond the word of mouth campaign started last year.

The accounting software that we recently purchased has given me a new confidence over the companies finances along with much more time to focus on production and marketing issues and less on paperwork.

I’m a videographer, and this year I aim to prove it. My brains, talent and vigor are going to put my corporation on the map and my company is gonna get me paid!
