After that it was pretty easy. I also had to buy recording software – I used something called “Record-IT!”, I think. I recorded whole LP sides at a time, and didn’t separate the tracks. I might do this later, but for now I don’t think it’s that important.
The two interesting things I learned:
1. This takes a lot of time, although you don’t have to be sitting there while it’s happening
2. The music sounds just like it’s being played on an old scratchy LP – I’ve decided that for certain of these records, I just need to buy new CDs of the music.
