Having this hair, the only hair type in the world that is different from everyone else(black hair), that refuses to grow, has made me so sensitive to it to the point where I can’t function if my hair doesn’t look “right”. I realized that I need to get a haircut not only for my own sanity, but to stop allowing society to dictate the type of hair(long and flowing) women are supposed to have.
