Green smoothie. 1 month ago

Personally, I didn’t like the texture of the drink. But it maybe the fault of my blender. It’s not very powerful.

But hey I got 2 servings of vegetables and 3 of fruit in one drink. Take that V8.



Made pumpkin muffins 1 month ago

It just like pumpkin bread but in muffin form. My household really like them. And I caused a fight in my boss household by not making more. :3



Quick Quiche 7 months ago

I did some minor changes to this recipe went I made it. Instead of bacon I used soy bacon. And instead of swiss I used Cheddar. It was yummy.

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 inch pie pan.
3. Line bottom of pie plate with cheese and crumbled bacon. Combine eggs, butter, onion, salt, flour and milk; whisk together until smooth; pour into pie pan.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes, until set. Serve hot or cold.

This is the first time I had to scald milk. So if it turns out bad I didn’t cook the milk enough. I suppose, all this new recipes is making mistakes and learning new things.

5 Microwave Single Serving Cake, it was good but too dry. I am not sure what I did wrong. Maybe cake just shouldn’t come from the microwave.

6 Curry. I thought I had bought the instant curry from my local Asian market but instead I had just bought curry sauce. So I made chicken curry. It turned out wonderful but it took forever.



I made cranberry muffins. 10 months ago

My mom made some blueberry muffins but they were really bad. Like little bricks with wheat germ. But I was craving muffins. So I made some of my own.

1/2 Cup Applesauce
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Egg White
1/2 TSP Salt
2 TSP Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Sugar (I did a 3/4 cup of sugar because I used cranberries and the original recipe was for blueberries.)
1 3/4 Cup Flour
1 cup of berries

Red Peppers With Maple Syrup and Chili. Personally, I cut this recipe in 1/4 because that was just too much food for one person. I also didn’t have chili peppers. So I omit it. It would be better with the peppers.
