Well 5 days ago

it appears I won’t have to make time for this after all. I have spent all week in -35 C weather moving my kithern to another, 2 and a half years is alot of time to accumulate a TON of stuff.. moslty useless:) lol
So anyway I was nearly done my kitchen when I had to run down for an appt at the docs when the phone rings. It is my girlfriends husband. He says “Skye? are you coming out to deal with these roosters this weekend?” I tell him no that isn’t possible as I am moving my kitchen and I have company in from Sask.
So then he proceeds to tell me that it’s been two months and he is sick of watching them “suffer” in the cold so he is going to “put them down”.
Un-fucking believable…

So I tell him to do what he needs to do say goodbye and hang-up.
Ya know.. for some reason it never ceases to amaze me how people have a need to create drama, and worse yet – pull me into it.
A) It hadn’t been two months as you can see by my blogs in was Nov 15th that we came out to do the roosters (which I ditched my daughter for on her BD to get it done)
B) if I hadn’t been cleaning YOUR house and helping YOUR wife when you weren’t able to maybe I would have had time to deal with them earlier…
just a thought.

6 down! 1 month ago

I drove to my girlfiends last week with three of my Ewes and a dozen roosters in tow. We only managed to get 6 of the roosters done. It was so cold and windy. Freezing rain was coming down so hard making it run down my face and in my eyes making it impossible to see to gut the birds. Then the storm hit and the snow was just whipping Sadb, bug and I – so we cleaned up as quick as we could and I finished gutting them in the house… smelly but much warmer!
This week I am dealing with a ton pf crap- I was supposed to go this weekend to drop a ram off with Sadb in Devon, and pick up a ewe or two.. but I am so damn sick.. I don’t think I have the energy:(

OMG! 2 months ago

Those roosters are going to drive me insane! I am beggining to think they are trying to do it on purpose! :( lol
Roosters crow when the sun comes up right?
WRONG!
These little beggars start crowing at 3:30 am:( Now I don’t know where you all live on this planet.. but here- at that that time of the morning, it is still dark for another 5 hours past the time they start crowing..by the time it is time for me to get up.. they are going back to bed for a nap:( lol

So I have tried sleeping with earplugs, taking melatonin, hoping it will keep me asleep, pillow over my head.. you name it.
I really need to get these guys harvested.
