With summer 3 months away

i should really get it together and find out what it is going to take to build some raised beds – and how muchthe soil is going to cost me to have it hauled out here. hhhmmmm will have to phone reg norman if I can find a sec this week

really really really

want to get a garden growing this year. I so miss having one. Sure they are time consuming and a pain in the ass.. but nothing tastes like fresh garden veggies! I have realized I will have to save some money and have some soil trucked out here to the farm. We just have too my clay and the soil in very acidic.So I figure in the spring I will make some time to start off building some raised garden beds (hopefully will be easier to keep the sheep and cats outta them)and then after the first frost get my garden in. We have an extremely short growing time here- so I will have to make the right choices on what to grow with the room I’ll have. I am excited about it. It’s been way to long and has been a long time coming.

Growing a vegetable garden would be so awesome!

Unfortunately the soil up here is so full of clay that it is near impossible.. even after adding sand, peat sheep * and the usual stuff.. the best I will be able to do is spend an huge amount on soil and bring it in and make raised beds.
