get a job

I recently applied for a position at a local animal hospital. All I would really be doing is walking dogs, giving puppies and kitties baths, and playing with the animals for minimum wage. And I would probably get to leave my piercings in. Sounds like a good deal to me. However, everytime I go in to speak with the woman who is doing the hiring, she is never there. Also, she hasn’t responded to the message I left on her answering machine. :-(

I turned in three applications today and did one online last night. The manager at Ponderosa said she would let me know if I got the job at 4 O’CLOCK TOMORROW!!! I’m so anxious.

EDIT: They didn’t call me, so I called them. The manager I had talked to wasn’t there, so I have to wait until Friday to find out. UGH.

Well, I had a dream about having a MAC Pro Card this morning. I woke up suddenly and immediately started doing more research on it. If I can get a job as a makeup artist at my local Merle Norman store, I can be eligible for a MAC Pro Card that will give me a 40% discount on everything but the Viva Glam collection. Holy Hell, I need that job.

If that doesn’t work out, I can still get the discount for freelancing. Then I’ll just get a job at the movie theater, I guess. It would be better if I worked at JC Penney’s or something though, because I really want to work for MAC while I’m in college and they look for people with experience in retail sales.

I hope to get a job at my local movie theater. It seems like a cool place to work and I desperately need some money. I’ll probably turn in my application after this summer is over.
