paint my own abstract art

In an attempt to get my wife painting again (since she is an actual artist, not a wannabe like me), I’m readding this goal.

As much as I would love to paint some abstract art, I don’t have the time or supplies necessary to devote to this goal at this time. And if I did have the supplies, I’d give them to my wife right now, who has much more artistic skills than I should ever dream of having.
Perhaps if we ever gain enough supplies and working space, I’ll add this goal again.

As my wife is an artist, I need to get her advice on what supplies I will need to gather. I really have no idea. Any art projects I have ever worked on, the materials were set out by the art teacher.
