Well, I’m on my way. I started classes in conversational Spanish in Sept. at the local community college. Now I am in my second quarter. I think I will take a break in the spring quarter. The class is only once a week for two hours and the structure of the class is very loose. That is good and bad. It makes it easy to want to go to class, but there is little in terms of planning and formal study. I think that I will retake first and second quarter next year to make sure I am proficient in those lessons before jumping into the third class. Still I think I could survive if I was stranded without an interpretor in a spanish speaking country.

Okay, I started the class and have my second one tomorrow. The problem is that I am studying more/faster than the class is progressing. I have also started using an interactive program on my computer to try to suppliment the class. My vocab is really pretty good (except verbs), but my sentance structure, masculine/feminine and grammar are for crap.

I start community conversational spanish classes in two weeks. It is a 8 week class meeting once a week for 2 hour each meeting. I figure it is a start.

I’ve got a few CD lessons and a couple of books to start, but a tight schedule restricts me from getting to the local community college. Maybe the guys who speak at work can help?

A skill that is becoming more and more of a desirable nature. It also allows me to travel easier.
