go to more concerts

Saw “Nine Black Alps” live at Leadmill on 27th Oct (saw them 3 times in the past few years, so this was the 4th time seeing them). They rock! It was a really good gig, and I was near the front too (nearest I’ve ever been) and towards the end, the last few songs, I was stood right at the front! I went with my boyfriend, he got 2 guest list places (I’m glad I didn’t buy the tickets ages ago now)! Plus I wore my “Nine Black Alps want your soul” t-shirt I got at Manchester gig few years ago, which I had done a painting of on 27th too, before going out!

14th October – saw “Papa Roach” live at Academy. Got in on guest list! (my boyfriend gets that for gigs sometimes). Wasn’t there from the start, but saw the end of the support band “Madina Lake” then after a bit “Papa Roach” came on.

17th October – saw “Tim Minchin” live (stand-up comic, but he plays songs too) at City Hall. I was front row!

Tuesday night saw “Oh My Word” live, their final show ever.

Today – not a concert, but went to a comedy show… saw Greg Davies, Paul Foot, Trevor Lock, Gareth Richards. I was second row from the front.

Saw “U2” live at Don Valley, with support from “Elbow” and “The Hours”.

I didn’t buy a ticket, I managed to go because someone I talk to sometimes online invited me, they said the person they had invited originally couldn’t make it.

Saw “Monte Carlo Safe Crackers”, and “UnclassiFied” (their support band) live at South Sea.

Saw “The Birthday Massacre” live (“Dyonisis” and “Raggedy Angry” were the support bands). Great gig!

Going to see The Birthday Massacre on 15th July. Yay!

6th June:
At least some of… “Dyonisis”, “Sweat Bees” and “Na Zdrove House Band” at Redhouse.
7th June:
Some of… “Kiss Track Comeback”, “On Amber Sky” and “HavanaRocks” at Dove.
9th June:
Saw “Monte Carlo Safe Crackers” and also some of “Junction 31” and “Audio IV” at West Street Live.

Not a concert, but I love comedy too. Saw Ed Byrne live – was brilliant!

Saw “Killing The Dream” (and they had 2 support acts) live at Corp. It was free ‘cause a few days earlier I’d won tickets because I sung karaoke and everyone who did was entered into a draw (just so happened, I didn’t know that before I found out I’d won!) – so that was cool! Wasn’t a bad gig, even though I didn’t know the band beforehand.
