I went clubbing, then after popped in a casino. I didn’t gamble (not really into gambling) but it was cool just to check it out, had a drink there. It looked very posh! So it was just something new, I’d never been in a casino before.

Went to Blackpool recently for a few days. One of the days (Wed) we went to The Pleasure Beach and one of the rides we went on was “Valhalla”. I’m only writing this because it was a new thing. I was nervous before going on it, although mum and sister said it was OK. It was VERY scary, well the fast down ‘whooshes’ were (there were 2 big ones, and 1 backwards but wasn’t as big but still scary). I won’t be going on it again, but I did try it.
Mind you, the music before going on it was good.
OK so I’ve been to the cinema before, but not on my own, so going on my own was something new to try! Saw “17 Again” – good film!
Had a meal out for my birthday, and after I had a cup of Assam tea (saw it on the menu and was inspired by this song, and I’ve tried Earl Grey before… I do like Camomile though which is herbal!).
Samuel Smith Old Brewery Bitter
Hobgoblin ale
Staropramen lager
Pedigree ale
Old Speckled Hen ale
IPA ale
Only in the last few months. As I say, I like trying new things sometimes and sometimes find things I like, some of these I’ve had a few times since tried.
It can be fun to try new things! I’ve tried some new nail varnish colours (see the goal), Ice Skating outside (had been to indoor ones before though… anyway I’d wanted to go Ice Skating again for awhile, too!), and today I bought a black dress (from River Island – I generally prefer more alternative stores like Rocky Horrors where I buy my nail varnish from, but went in River Island because my sister was shopping there, and I saw this dress, thought it looked nice, it was a bit expensive but I liked it so thought why not, but that’s something new as I hardly ever wear dresses or skirts!).
I’ve tried several new places to eat, been to a few pubs I hadn’t been to before, had a few alcoholic cocktails I hadn’t had before… so yeah, I’ve been trying some new things. It can be cool to try new things, just as it can be cool with things you already know and like, and sometimes you find out cool things – like awhile ago I went to a pub I hadn’t been to before, with my mum, because I knew they had a pool table there – and then we found out they also have a ‘table football’ table there. As I didn’t know anywhere that did before then! I hadn’t played it for years, but then awhile ago I did because I found a new pub!
6th June at The Boardwalk restaurant at Centertainment: I tried Sex On The Beach cocktail (archers, vodka, orange juice).
12th June at Nelson rock bar: I tried Black Jack shooter (black sambuca, Jack Daniels), Fuzz Box cocktail (vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice).
23rd June at Nelson rock bar: I tried Union Jack shooter (grenadine, peach schnapps, blue bols).
23rd June at Corporation: I tried malibu and coke (because it was mentioned in “Barenaked Ladies – Alcohol”).
G&T (gin and tonic) is also mentioned in that song, as well as in “Oasis – Supersonic”. I tried that quite awhile ago, because of those songs.
30th June at Lloyds Bar: I tried a Raspberry Sambuca Spritzer (antica raspberry sambuca, lemonade). First time I’d been in that bar, reason being – I saw on a sign outside that a pint of Carling was about £2, which is a bit cheaper than I know it is at some other places.
30th June at Nelson rock bar: I tried a Long Island Ice Tea cocktail (vodka, gin, white rum, blue curacao, sweet & sour, lemonade).
30th June at Corporation: I tried a Jager Bomb (Jagermeister and Red Bull).
4th July at Lloyds Bar: I tried a Lynchburg Lemonade (jack daniels and lemonade, with a slice of lime).
6th July at Reflex 80’s Bar: I tried a Corky’s Shot (White Chocolate). First time I’d been in there, I just popped in to see what it was like.
6th July at Corporation: I tried a Tia Maria and Strawberry Milk, Newcastle Brown ale.
I’ve had some alcoholic drinks with coke (I guess it just goes well, even though alcohol and coke can both be nice on their own): Jack Daniels and coke, peach schnapps and coke, Jagermeister and coke, vodka and coke, malibu and coke.
Jagermeister is one of my favourite alcoholic drinks, I first tried that awhile ago at Corporation.
