so this goal is not gonna work for me. I’m giving up and switching to “stop drinking alcohol” I’m quitting completely for 3 months. Good luck to all of you!

Wellll, it could’ve gone worse I suppose. I didn’t drink as much as I thought I might, but more than I wanted. I know that my caloric intake was insane since the yummy crap I mentioned found a direct path to my gullet. I have a hangover, I should still consider this progress though, right?



Party

OK So we have a halloween party going on tonight at our house. I haven’t had anything to drink since Monday.
I can’t feel like crap tomorrow. I will not overindulge, I want to feel and appreciate the buzz and let it build slowly.
I’m drinking tons of water and green tea and soup today to help prepare.
I also want to avoid drinking too much because when I do the mindless snacking on yummy crap follows. Soo..

I drank an entire bottle of reisling last night. I am so pissed at myself, trying not to let it derail my whole weekend. I will work out longer and harder today to try and compensate a little bit. I looked up the calories and it was 575, and the worst part was I was just waiting for the great buzz and it never came, I felt altered but not exactly in a good way. Grr!! So now my new goal will be not to drink Wine for awhile, I’m obviously more inclined to overdo it. A max of 3 beers per day tomorrow and Sunday, and back to abstaining Monday. This is so frustrating.

It is Friday night, I’d usually be on my 2nd 6pack by now, but I’m oK. I am struggling to resist one more beer before bed but it would be worthless since I’m just going there and all it would do is increase my chances of feeling sluggish in the morning. Tomorrow is a big day, working on getting wood in for the season. I will go to bed now. Feel good in the AM and work my butt off all day. This is progress.



hard weekend...

So last week I did soo well, had none until Friday night, then had only 4. Saturday my sister in law came from out of town and we drank white wine and beer, I tried to restrain but before I knew it, I was waking up with a headache and feeling gross. To compensate for the hangover, I self medicated with beer, starting at about 10AM! and drank all day:( Probably had about 15 bottles of beer before it was over and now here I am.. Monday morning, feeling like a jerk. I’m sure all the calories I saved during the week eating so well were more than made up. Blah.



weeks...

I tried hard not to drink this week during the weekdays. In doing so, I saved at least 25 dollars.. Alas on Thursday night I managed to get smashed on beer and have a lousy Friday..I had nothing to drink Friday night though, a good thing. Last night I had a bottle of wine and a few beers but drank enough water before bed not to feel like total shite this morning. That rocks, because I think fall is officially here in our area. I would hate to miss another season because i’m drunk. I’m still drinking more than I want to, but much less than normal for me.
