I few weekends ago, I had an inspired thought.
I’ve always wanted to write a book, yet my subject matter eluded me. Novels were fine, short stories were all well and good, however I wanted to write something that would help others.
Then at a business function, after listening to the keynote speaker, it came to me. A book that teached the reader how to listen to the things that are not being said- a kind of auditory read between the lines. Now I’m not talking about interpreting what someone is saying or giving it a meaning it doesn’t have (sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, after all). It’s the “fill in the blank” stuff. The stuff people don’t say because they deem you’re intelligent enough to figure it out.
I have no idea if a book such as this has a market. I do, however, know of some people who could use a book like it.
Since I have no interest in a “how-to” method of writing, I’m gonna have to figure out how to write this in a story format. I’m an excellent storyteller- at least that’s what I keep telling myself.
This should be an interesting adventure, to say the least.
