1. CHURCH! What a blessing my church is! A fantastic message was given today about God’s grace. They showed a clip from the movie “Big Fish” where the guy is woing his love, who is engaged to someone else, but he’s determined to win her heart. They show the part where she wakes up in the morning and he’s covered the lawn with daffodils! Goes right along with the bible study I heard monday morning in which the speaker said, “God loves you so much, He wants to lavish you.”
Anyway, I feel as though He’s done just that all this week! The full realization of His grace just brings me to my knees!

2. Another proving of His providence: another member of the church gave me some money after service. Also, another gal bought us a gift card for lunch out at Red Robin. He just keeps bringing us blessing after blessing.

3. My dear daughter(7yrs) is journaling by herself. The kids have vacation for the next two weeks. She’s got a “vacation journal” to write in everyday. So she wrote a story about our day.

4. “Copping a feel”. We went to Michael’s after church and I sure enjoyed feeling up all the new soft yarn that’s out there now! I couldn’t resist a few finds. Don’t know what to make yet. But, I’m thankful I could buy some.

Friday the 13th... of October 3 years ago

1. Free(yes I said FREE) childcare! Lovely, committed lady of my church is caring for the kids since I started working. No school today, so having all four was a challenge today. And she was there.

2. Not only the children were cared for, but the house too. Came home to a clean, rearranged living room and dishes done!

3. TGIF! I haven’t said that in a long time. But, it feels great to have worked a full week and have the weekend off to look forward to. This and next weekend will probably be my last weekends off until after Christmas! OMG! I’m gonna have retail xmas!(oh wait, I’m writing stuff that makes me happy, not terrified! LOL)

4. This pic is my little baby girl. We went to the Big Red Castle (lookup AM91-Point of Faith in 43places.) last weekend. Baby girl had a chocolate sweet and most of it ended up, well you can see. too kewt!

1. My new job! I got to contribute to a promotional project today for every associate to see. I wrote this out some statements and later the manager had posted them on the board. Not only published online, but now at walmart! Woo Hoo!

2. Dinner delivered by a dear sweet lady of my church. The ladies have all organized a meal program to minister to us. Nothing tastes better, whatever it is, than food someone lovingly cooked for you. And such a nice thing, driving home from my long day and not having to think about what’s for dinner.

3. More praise reports about how God is keeping us. I got a quote for car insurance today which was so, so doable! No big downpayments, and monthly auto withdrawals from checking! I’ve hated taking the risk of driving around without insurance. I haven’t had a cheaper rate offered to EVER! I think in the mid ‘80s I got a very reasonable rate, but then I rear ended somone and that went away! So, this is fantastic!

PRAISE THE LORD!

1. Started new job today! I’m excited about it. Don’t know if I should say here that I’m gonna work at Walmart. I found some critical of the corp. here on the boards. I’m thankful for near full-time work and the opportunity.

2. I made a baby hat in blue varigated yarn. Went to orientation today with another associate due in Dec with her 1st, a boy. I was able to finish the hat while we watched video training. I gave it to her. I didn’t know who I was knitting it for when I began. I just followed the leading of the Spirit. Isn’t it wonderful how He provided the recipient?

3. My church family: in everything I have needed this week(since DH went to jail) and especially in starting this new job, they have rallied to meet my needs. A sweet lady stepped up to take care of the kids, a wonderful man of God pastor traveled to jail to visit DH and I just got a mail from another sweet lady who wants to arrange meal delivery for me. God Bless them all!

4. Finances are OK! Help came in that area too from church. An anonymous gift left in my mail folder at church sunday.
Indeed, “He SHALL meet all my needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus!”

1. Drove over the my to friend’s house because his phone was off. Been tryin to get to him and meet his wife, who just came home last week from long term care after months in hospital and recovery for a debilitating stroke. I made a prayer shawl for her and wanted to deliver it. Very distressing when the phone was disconnected. I met her, after months of prayer and knitting. She’s a wonderful lady; SO full of the Spirit! I’m excited about taking the shawl to her this weekend.

2. Watched younger twin in her 2nd grade class mini production number from “Mary Poppins”. So KEWT! They sang
“supercalifragilisticexpealdocious”... boy I’ve never tried to write that! LOL

3. A friend from church gave us a monetary gift this week and I was able to actually put some money in the gas tank. Getting in and seeing it over half full was a happy moment!(Its a 50 gallon tank!) It’s hovered around empty for weeks!

The kindness of strangers 3 years ago

It does go without saying that the little people in my life make me happy every day. My four little blessings. Some days are more challenging than others, but overall there is always a smile, and little voice saying “You’re the bestest mom in the whole world!” and sweet, slobbery kisses.

Happiness for this day: September 20, 2006

1. Kids got to get free school clothes from the Assistance League of Denver to include: nice, thick winter jackets with hoods, gloves, hat, socks, underwear, two pair of jeans, two polo shirts and a giftcard for Payless Shoes.

2. Taking them for the clothes and enjoying my son’s delight at every “slug bug” sighting. The special new bug with the Merry Maids ad was a real thrill all decked out in bright green and yellow.

3. Thanks to my access to the world wide web, I was able to connect with someone who I can be a blessing to. And who may be able to bless me in future with daycare. We had a long phone conversation this afternoon and found us telling each our whole life story. Nice connection!

4. Finally having the leasure and connection to look up all those site referrences I read in my magazines, or hear about in the news.

p.s. additional Happiness report for yesterday: finding this really kewl site and making a new list of my life long dreams. What a joy!

I'm only allowed three? 3 years ago

1. Being online from home! I’ve been without internet access from home for many years. Now I can really enjoy the net, share myself, learn from others and see really kewl stuff!(see below)
2. Publishing my own blog! Amazing that in just minutes one can publish their inner-most thoughts on this huge forum. It’s great!
3. “the really kewl stuff”!:Nasa has a link on their site to an orbit tracker where you can follow the Space Shuttle Atlantis’ progress around the earth. My “light and temporary” troubles seem so small when seeing our earth from space. Amazing viewing!
