Mom suggested I go to a coin op carwash and spray them with the power sprayer. But they are thick carpet mats…so they’ll sop up the water. I live in a dirty city so if I lay them out to dry, I’m afraid they’ll just get muddy from the smog. I tried that with my white tennies after they were all nice and clean, I set them out to dry and they turned brown. Yuck!
I can’t afford to have the carpets shampood. Can anyone give advice, please? This is holding up the sale. Thanks!

My car is not drivable. I don’t know what’s wrong with it, but it won’t drive. It’s a 1990 Plymouth Laser. My income is low enough that I don’t qualify for a tax deduction if I donate it, but I don’t know how to sell a used car without being able to say what’s wrong with it. Please, anyone give me your advice on what you would do. It’s sitting in my garage and I need it moved so they can do plumbing work on my building.
