I really need to start working on this one. It’s a very long term goal because I want to make good ones that I designed myself so I need to learn woodworking and carving, some basic engineering, and eventually some metal work.
I’ll start with simplistic ones other people designed, of course, but I won’t consider this accomplished until I make a complex one of my own. I just got a book called Automata and Mechanical Toys by Rodney Peppe from amazon and I plan to sign up for a wood carving class soon.
