Why??

ugg i’ve been slowly intergrating music into my life, and you know what i really don’t care about it! Yeah there’s some artists i’d happily listen too, and at least i know roughly what type of music i like, but, i still don’t get why some people are so into music as it doesn’t have any sort of positive effect on me, and some, for example hip-hop, a negetive one! hummm…ah well, i’ll carry on trying!

I’d much rather watch a film (or have one on in the background) or listen to an audio drama instead, or read. I think i need either a story or something like art to be able to trigger any sort of emotion that could be the equivelant of how some people resond to music. to me it has little effect.

reason...

I’m actually one of the few people (or at least teenagers) who doesn’t follow music, the main reason being that most of it in my opinion is just terrible, there are some bands/artists I like, a very, very few, and even them only one or two songs I’d actually want to listen to. It isn’t like I don’t listen to music, I do, I just don’t particularly find it triggers any sort of emotion in me. But I’d like to actually take an interest and develop opinions, and maybe from that begin to like it. Even if this is just because of the small talk it’s used for, so that when someone asks me “what sort of music you into?” I can say something more interesting that “I’m not really into music”, and then when they tell me what they like I actually know what they’re talking about.
