Such a good reminder for me to come into the present moment when there is a twitchy type person exuding energy all over the place. Tonight at my sangha one person was jerking around so much I perceived this as intentional and began my own internal dialogue about him.
Eventually I noticed I was thinking and judging and came back to my breath. He was a great big ball of energy. I hope he finds peace soon.
One of the most important practices of mindfullness practice is to listen. Be fully present for another.
As a musician this is as important as the skills I practice with my hands.
If one of us listens, we are all listening.
Practice…
A smile can change the condition of the world.
- Thich Nhat HanhBest way for me to smile is to practice mediation.
In the woods with my wife this weekend, we decided to practice walking meditation along a beautiful wooded path. I suggested that we take each step like it was our last.
A beginning and worth continuing.
