Slowly navigating my around through the ocean of opportunities. What does it take to form a tribe that is interested in my music and spreads the word? Supports the work so that I can have more options to create? What is holding me back from throughly seizing the existing opportunities?

When limitations encounter expectations 2 years ago

When limitations encounter expectations as they did for me this weekend one must be careful. I was veering off course, but my breath saved me. I gained precious time by focusing on my breath rather than reacting. Hence a respones was available to me. One the minimized damage to myself and a dear friend.

The greatest learning for myself may be learning to stay present.

Letting Go 2 years ago

I had a great massage today. As usual my mind quieted along with my body. I came home to practice my guitar and thought good, I am relaxed and focused, this should be good.

Well mistakes abounded, but I didn’t care. Even laughed at a few of them. I heard the massuese saying – Let go …

Communication 2 years ago

Certainly an area I will always need to learn more about. Always.

It isn’t that he can’t see the solution. It is that he can not see the problem.

G.K. Chesterton

I’ve been mulling this quote over since sometime in 1982-83. Still pertinent.

Hummingbirds and Evergreens question 2 years ago

Seems as if the birds are catching my attention lately. Saw a hummingbird looking as if it was feeding off a stand of evergreens yesterday. I researched this a bit and apparantely they like to nest in evergreens as this hides them. Could be.

perhaps all of these bird questions are related to my recent desire to find work that encourages learning. Perhaps they represent my desire to soar to new heights, tend to a new nest.

Ask Questions 2 years ago

One of the ways I learn is to observe nature and then question why. Saturday I was swimming and walking around a lake in Pennslyvania when I observed a yellow-tail bird with a vert erratic flight pattern; evasive manuvuers was the term I used.

And perhaps it was, or perhaps it was catching insects, or …
I googled this as a finch but now have learned that it is not. Did learn a bit about birds.

Making Connections 2 years ago

I never know where what I have learned will come into play. So I am open to reading on many fronts, practing music, practing meditation, and developing physical skiils. Being open as much as possible.
