Have more computer geek friends

I’ve worked with geeks on the job all my life, yet it never occurred to me that I could make personal friends in the office. It’s funny in a way. I always feel so comfortable working along side geeks, it almost makes no sense to disturb that comfort and peace by interacting in more personal ways.

Ok. I have at least one geek friend. And he thinks I’m a geek. We always have fun chatting just about anything. Lately he kept wanting to talk about this game he’s trying to write in PHP. I happen to be php diva. Ok, I’m also a SQL diva, ORACLE diva, java diva, etc, etc.

It’s a start.

It’s funny. I realized that I’ve worked with computer geeks all my life, yet I have not even one computer geek friend. We all just bury ourselves in front of the computer and don’t really talk to one another about personal lives. When we have questions, we just go online to post and answer computer related questions. I can be in a room full of computer geeks all my life and still end up not having a geek friend :)

ok, i don’t consider myself a geek that much. i always thought that i’m a sensitive perceptive girl. But others see me as a geek, and it has been going on since my teens.

i always like chatting with geeks. they are the most fun people to be around. i’d like to have more geeky friends, to talk about oracle, java, games, etc.
