Like teaching, coaching people to heal themselves is my kind of bliss. Whenever I contemplate and prepare for this, I would feel a kind of resurgence, a feeling of being happy and I can concentrate on a task for hours. Whenever I brush this off, I immediately feel down and out, lost; as if I’ve strayed off the road.
This is described as a “flow” experience by Mihaly Czikzentmihalyi. Poetically speaking, it’s creativity finally finding a wellspring, so it can work in the world and participate in its further creation.
