Chrysler settled with me out of court for my Lemon Law case I filed because I had my 2005 Jeep Liberty in the shop 8 times before they finally fixed the problem, which was that it was a piece of crap.

Got a GREAT deal on a Jeep Liberty Sport back in Dec. of 05. Sticker was like 24,300, and I got it out the door for 20,000 including payoff on a trade-in that I owed 3000 over what it was worth. I’ve put about 20,000 miles on it since then and have had no problems. Yes, I admit, I’d rather have a Nissan X-Terra with its better gas mileage, bigger engine, and more hp, and I’d MUCH rather have a Toyota FJ Cruiser . . . but for what I paid for the Jeep, and just the pure sensation of OWNING a Jeep, I am very happy with it! Just to warn any of you out there considering it. My liberty gets only about 18 mpg, regardless of whether or not its highway or city miles. Definately not what was advertised on the sticker (I think it was like 19 – 24 or something). Also, the fabric on the seats stains really easily and does NOT come clean. Even water stains the seats. I spilled root beer no the passenger seat 3 months after buying it, and cannot for the life of me get it out. I’ve tried everything!
