Stop using credit cards

I haven’t charged anything to my credit card in 4 months now, so I’d say I’ve accomplished the “stop using credit cards” part now its all about paying off the damage that I did 2-3 years ago.

So you sign up for a credit card to get the free Penn State beach towl or whatever it is, then you get it and you’re like “hmmm, might as well activate it” . . then you use it to purchase your books, right, thats school related, justifiable. Then you go out to eat somewhere nice and you’re like, “hey, I deserve this, why not just charge it” then you get gas, and you say “I can just pay for this later, you know, gotta build up credit” and next thing you know you owe 700 dollars to the damn credit card company! I have a degree in Finance, I’ve worked for a bank in consumer lending, and I will tell you, credit scores are a big ploy by big business to ENCOURAGE people to go into debt.
