I’ve been meaning to record how much money I’ve spent. Maybe I’ll add on here my receit, info from my bank statement (nothing personal—just the fact that I withdrew _ amount on this day. I mean, I have plenty of old bank statements lying around doing me no good. I should try to oompile the info in some way/shape/form. Make SOMETHING of it.

I am so tight when it comes to money. I have never had a job. . .but still have Social Security Money in the bank for when my mother died (she died when I was in 6th grade-I got payments till I was 18 and graduated, although my dad got the $ till I was 18-then all the money he hadn’t used-$12,000-went to me. And then for the remaining few months till I graduated I got $500 or so. All in all I ended up getting $15,000)

It’s been a year and 9 months and I have mid $7,000 dollars there. The only thing I really used money for is food.

There was a time I spent as little as. . .10 bucks a week. . .on food.

Hey, flour is cheap, and so is wheat. Especially since for a long while I was doing un-whole wheat. I was doing the white flour and white enriched (but not instant)rice which isn’t near as healthy. . .but really is cheap.

$10 bucks. . .for a 50 pound bag of white rice. That lasted me many months.

And I didn’t use soy sauce--cost too much. Maybe it doesn’t seem like that much-but compared to how cheap rice is, everything is expensive.

Anyway, now I won’t do anything but whole wheat (or rye, barely other types) of grain. Or brown rice. No more white rice for me.

I eat alot of fruit. But that doesn’t cost me as much as it could either. In our yard we have some miniture fruit trees-peaches, a nectarine, apples, pear, a plum tree. . .and I like to go to an $5.90 (that’s including tax-5.45 before) all-you-care-to-eat salad bar buffet regularly-like at least once a week, but it really varies. I eat alot there. That’s (as my older brother said a few days ago-I actually went there WITH my family for the first time ever—my main source of nutrition)

okay. So people complain about how eating healthy is costly. Actually, not as much as could be. Flour is really cheap-and there’s all sorts of flour you can get-beans and rice aren’t costly—sure beats spending money on unhealthy crap that’s going to make you need hospitalization in the future from heat attack or what not. Sure beats getting diabetes.

I guess if you want alot of calories from fruit-which don’t have so much, veggies even less-you can have dried fruit.

I love raisins and prunes. Especially prunes. I tried prune juice, but didn’t think much of it. Prune juice is SO MUCH BETTER!
