Well, for the whole 2 weeks I had a government class, I was exposed to new ideas on politics and understanding how the US government works sort of.
I still have my textbooks, and I wish I could read them just for my own self-awareness but they’re rentals :/
With it being an election year and all, I find it a pressing matter to finally start paying attention to what these middle-aged white guys in suits are deciding for my future and the future of those around me.
It can be really difficult to sift through all of the biast, inflammatory commentary of media to really gain an opinion on candidates or policies in place.
But… I’m watching.

I am noticing that sometimes my friends’ opinions or view points are differing than what I would think to be right or wrong. Not by much but enough to notice. In the thick of defining what I think is this and that, and coming up with how to assertively explain my point of view.

I’m tired of being a carbon copy in terms of opinion. I want an opinion of my own on things. No more second guessing, no more effing around. And when I discover my convictions and beliefs, I’ll stand by them and not be ashamed of them, no matter how strange, conflicting or controversial they may be to my friends and family
