live in New York City

I’m finally living my dream! I’m here in NYC and studying film! It’s so different. There at any time can be three film crews in a park, everything’s efficient, and no one looks at you funny if you say you’re a director or a writer or an actor. Everything you could possibly want or want to see is a short walk away. There was only five restaurants in my home town, theres hundreds here. Its so big and exciting and I think theres always going to be something new to see. My advice: don’t worry about making the money to come out here. Move and then worry about the money, it will make itself. God will be happy you’re following your heart for once.

I’m moving from the suburbs into the city for film school this september!!! two dreams at once, making movies and living in nyc, its so exiciting. i’m still looking for an apartment, the way the market is you have to get an apartment the day before you move because they come on and off the market so quick. I’m optimistic though. I think I’ll want to live in the city for the rest of my life. Even if i end up having kids and a family, I’ve already done the green lawn white picket fence thing, it’s boring as hell and doesn’t match my personality at all. I want bright lights and tall buildings. I want to be able to go out to eat at 4 AM. I want culture and to meet others like me. And if I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere, or so I’ve been told.

I think I found a roommate to move with me in September, now I just need an affordable place to live. I’m gonna make it happen no matter how far in debt i go. I have a feeling that the friends i’ll make, the confidence i’ll aquire, and the things ill learn there with will be worth it. I’m going to have to dig deep for money for school and rent. I’m truly supposed to live there, even if it’s only for a little while. The city suits me. I don’t know if i should live in manhattan or if i should live in brooklyn and commute to school.
