Write more thank you notes

The couple who lives in the unit on the second floor stopped me outside when I was walking to the building. They were worried because as they were leaving they happened to look up the stairwell and saw feet (in work boots) hanging out from my landing. It appeared to be a large man, who by the position was just lying there. So, they walked me back into the building and the husband took me up the stairs. It was a painter from the condo association! Painting some woodwork! I was so appreciative, though, of their concern and having neighbors near enough and neighborly enough to look out for me! I will write a note tonight and put it under the door. It may seem like a little thing, but sometimes the world seems dangerous and having someone “keep an eye out” is so nice!

I am writing a thank you today for the last rejection (for a practicum site).
Sigh.

And gave them, on my last day, to the staff who supervised and helped me at my practicum site. They were terrific; generous with time and energy and wisdom. Hoo-Ray to them!

I sent four thank you’s for the interview letters out this week to people who rejected my applications. Important for career but not as important as thanking friends and family and neighbors which I want to do more often and more sincerely.
