Christ or Money?

I can’t be a slave to both. I feel like I’m a slave to one of them, and it’s not the one I should be a slave to.

Trying, but I feel like such a failure when it comes to faith, etc.

Who do I serve? Who do you serve?

Started a new study at my church, the whole church is also participating. It is about abiding in Christ, and focusing on the parable of the Vine and the Branches. The idea is to abide in Christ, which means to stay, or remain. Not coming to Him when you are desperate or need help, but to stay close to Him at all times. Did Day 1 of the study; it is a 40 day study. Me and hubby are a week behind because we were in Tennessee and couldn’t pick up the book, but we will catch up. Here’s to abiding in Him!! :-D

New financial updates:

1. Just got $60 from a craigslist sale
2. Got AT&T to give me $230 credit on my phone bill

Been praying that God will help our financial situation. I received my AAA car insurance renewal and I will be paying less than $100/month, which is almost $75 less of what I was paying the past 6 months! Also, my credit score has gone up 44 points! Praise God!

When I was in college I used to go to Bible Study at the Parsons’ house every Thursday night. I haven’t been in several years but for some reason God told me to go, it was really weird. I am so glad I did, I had so much fun!! We studied “My Utmost for His Highest” by Oswald Chambers, and had a great discussion. We also played with riddles until our brains gave out. I really miss that type of gathering to discuss spiritual ideas with people my own (or slightly younger) age. Maybe I will go back next week :-)

- That God gives me direction if he wants me to teach English in China
- If Jeff should ask for a raise or apply at another company
- That Chase’s foot heals quickly
- That Jeff’s parents will come to church
- To make me more like Christ

T Trust God for every detail of your life (1 Peter 5:7).
H Holy Spirit – Allow Him to control and empower your daily life and witness (Galatians 5:16,17; Acts 1:8).
