make a beautiful gown

I finished sewing my dress today. Now it just needs ironing before the big day and that’s it. :) :D

I got the extra cotton and today I did the bottom hem on the outer skirt.

Just all the rest of the list to do now: hem the bottom of the lining, sew the lining to the zip and sew the lining to the dress around the waist.

Mum came to help me with my dress and we used all of a 250m reel of cotton on the dress. The dress still isn’t finished.

I need to hem the bottom of the lining and the bottom of the dress and I need to sew the lining to the zip and sew it to the dress around the waist.

I’m going to get more cotton tomorrow, so I can do more work on the dress in a couple of weeks when I next have time.

I have sewn some of the back of the skirt. I did that yesterday. I haven’t done anything with it today (and I doubt I will till the weekend at least) because I have bucket loads of work to do for my Masters.

I have all the material.
I have a pattern.
Today I pinned the pattern to the outer material.

Tomorrow I will cut it out and pin the lining material and possibly cut that too.

By the end of Monday I want to have everything cut out and some of the back sewn up.
