I learned to play the guitar a long time ago. I took lessons for three and a half years. But as soon as I didn’t have a teacher making sure I was practicing or a band that was wanting the best out of me, I just stopped playing completely. The only time I ever play any more is with the worship band at church (which doesn’t really require much in the way of skill).
Things to do:- Relearn my scales
- Learn songs that I know will be a challenge to play
- Scan those piles and piles of guitar magazines in my room and bookmark lessons that pique my interest and then do them.
And maybe I should invest in a new electric guitar. The one I have now is definitely not in good enough shape to inspire good playing.
