I’ve lost about eight pounds since I started working out a year and a half ago. I guess that’s losing weight. Very slow progress, but it’s something, right?
My lifestyle has certainly changed though. I eat much healthier than I used to, I work out regularly. I’m stronger than I used to be (I can actually do pull-ups for the first time in my life), I can run farther (I ran three miles on a treadmill nonstop for the first time a couple months ago). I’m just not seeing much in the actual weight loss department.

I’m not sure if anyone’s mentioned Traineo before, but it’s definitely worth checking out. It’s a way for you to set a weight loss goal and log your diet, exercise habits and weight loss over time. You can also add “motivators” (aka friends, famly, etc.) to help keep you accountable. I just signed up, so I’m still figuring it out, but I thought I’d share.

So technically I’ve only lost 6 or 7 pounds from my starting weight, but people keep telling me how I look thinner. I’m guessing that all the gym time is trimming me up, turning fat into muscle, which would explain why I weigh pretty much the same but look thinner.

I got a gym membership last week and I’ve already been four times. I’ve been doing some aerobic workout on the stationery bike and the rowing machine, along with crunches and a light weight workout.
Now if only I could get rid of this cold so I could go again soon..
