I had thought that four days away from work would mean I could catch up on sleep: no such luck, unfortunately….
(At least I had a lot more fun than usual being awake! grin)

Problems with the weekend-into-workweek transition again. sigh
Upon reflection, I think this has much to do with my getting “disordered” sleep, and perhaps “too much” of it, on the weekend.
Not to mention that I had caffeine, and apparently too late in the day, on Sunday.
(I survived Monday by drinking massive amounts of coffee….)
Friday-into-Saturday and Saturday-into-Sunday:
I wasn’t feeling 100%, so I slept a lot; basically, whenever the urge struck me, and for pretty much as long as I wanted to (only once did I have to set the alarm and be on time somewhere, and I managed it OK).
I’ve been doing a little better this week at getting to bed earlier and somewhat more consistently, although I haven’t been falling asleep as soon as I’d like after turning the lights off (it’s hard to “turn my brain off” wry grin):
I felt as though I had gotten just-enough-sleep-to-get-by on the first, second, and fourth nights. After the third night, however, I awakened feeling that I had actually gotten enough sleep, for a change. It felt good, really good! smile
Up to bed at 1:45am (I find that transitions from week-end to work-week are difficult)!
my sleep, both the quality and quantity of it, I’m realizing how much my work schedule likely has to do with my sleeping being “off” sometimes, lately.
I go to work early two mornings a week (Monday and Wednesday), then work late two nights a week (Tuesday and Thursday), which makes it hard to keep a consistent wake-time (much less sleep-time).
If I could just “regularize” my schedule! I wonder if that would actually help?
This time, I slept fairly well from approximately 11pm through 3:15am, before awakening thoroughly and abruptly. And, once again, I’m tired but not sleepy. sigh
I hope that the rest of you are managing to get some good sleep!!!
Edited to Add:
This was Sunday-night-into-Monday-morning, with the situation probably compounded by my having had a great deal of caffeine during the day on Sunday. The most recent previous occurence was on a Friday-night-into-Saturday-morning; I don’t recall that caffeine was implicated as a co-factor on that occasion.
isn’t usually my problem, although at the moment it is.
I slept, fairly well, I think, from 11pm through 3:30am and then awakened suddenly and completely and for no apparent reason. sigh
Oh, well, guess I’ll try to get something done, since I’m not in the least bit sleepy (although I am tired).
Hope the rest of you are enjoying sweet dreams!!!
All best wishes to 43T-people. smile
therefore I should be able to sleep as much as I want to: right? Right? RIGHT?
LOL
