Do the Seattle to Portland (STP) ride

We don’t leave until Saturday morning, but we need to have the luggage loaded with the baggage service tomorrow afternoon, so we’re packing now.

Craziness abounds: Where’s the chamois butt’r? What’s the weather forecast? (Looks like tailwinds – wheeee!) How far is it from the luggage drop to the hotel? Why hasn’t my favorite jersey been washed?

Dang.

Riding STP is great, but it’s training for it that’s even better. It’s great having a reason to get out there all the time on your bike.

I plan to do STP for the 8th time this year. This time I’m doing it stoking one of our tandems with my husband. We’ll see if This Marriage Will Survive. I did it last year with my daughter on the other tandem, so surely it’ll be easier with my husband. We’ll see.
