Well, I’ve decided to skip the rose beads on my first rosary because I want to start out simple and making them by hand will make things more difficult. Plus, the only ones I can find to buy seem to be wooden beads dipped in rose oil, and I literally want beads made from rose petals, which yes, they exist. Anyway, I think I’m going to buy some antique crimson colored beads from Ebay. Not only are they attractive, but the color is reminiscent of the blood of Christ. Plus, you can get them at a cheap price. I also need to find myself a silver, antique center. As for the cross, I want to use a black fairy cross. I am concerned, though, because I don’t know if they mine those or just find them lieing about. I want my hills to stay intact. Perhaps I can find a previously owned one or one that someone just found lieing about. I would accept a tan one, as they are quite nice as well, but I am more spiritually drawn to black and think that it would be more asthetically pleasing with the crimson colored beads and the silver center. I also need a silver chain.

This tasks SOUNDS easy enough, but I’ve never made jewelry before, besides some macrame jewelry which I am at total begginer level with. I know this isn’t technically jewelry, but it looks like it and is made similarly. Somehow, I have the feeling this is one of those things that sounds easier than it is. Anyways, I would like to use real rose beads, which means I either have to find and purchase them or make them myself. Making them would be awesome, but also makes this a MUCH harder task. I’d like to use mostly antique charms on this and I tend to prefer silver to gold, though I like gold sometimes. I plan to purchase the pieces from ebay. I still haven’t decided on whether or not to make rose beads or try to buy them.
